The price of Netflix has risen in numerous markets, including Canada.
Starting January 21 st, Canadians will have to pay the following rates for Netflix:
- Basic with Advertisements– $ 7 99/ month (up from $ 5 99/ month)
- Criterion (no advertisements, HD-supported)– $ 18 99/ month (up from $ 16 49/ month)
- Costs (no ads, 4 K-supported)– $ 23 99/ month (up from $ 20 99/ month)
“As we continue to buy programs and deliver more worth for our members, we will sometimes ask our participants to pay a bit a lot more so that we can re-invest to further improve Netflix,” created Netflix of the reason for the cost walkings in its Q 4 2024 earnings report.
The firm’s last cost boost in Canada remained in January 2022– the 2nd hike in two years at the time– which saw the cost of the highest-end Costs membership increasing to $ 20 99/ month. Last year, the firm also axed its least expensive ad-free plan, the $ 9 99/ month Standard rate.
